Major Take-Aways from Black Hat USA

POSTED BY THREATQ

The city of Las Vegas, NV is famed for its 24-hour casinos, themed hotels with elaborate displays & Elvis-officiated weddings, bringing in approximately 3.5M visitors per month.  Despite the dry heat of the Mojave Desert, Las Vegas is also home to one of the world’s leading information security events.

The Black Hat USA conference has been held in Las Vegas for the past 18 years and continues to grow in attendance year after year.  Last week, the ThreatQuotient team attended the annual conference and met with many cybersecurity professionals to discuss various concerns for the upcoming year.

With sophisticated hacking and social exploits making headlines, approximately 67% of Black Hat Survey respondents claimed that they are highly concerned that their organization will be hit with a major security breach in the next 12 months.  Of those respondents, 69% say that they do not have enough staff to meet the threat.

In these times, having the tools to correlate external threat data with internal data sources, historical threat information and insights into attacker profiles is critical.  Our solution, the ThreatQ threat intelligence platform, can help maximize the strength of your current security toolbox alongside your most valued resource, your security team.  With ThreatQ, security teams can analyze, organize and utilize threat intelligence more effectively.

If you did not get the chance to meet our team in Las Vegas, but would like to learn more about our solution, tune into our Tech Session this afternoon (08/08/17) at 1:00pm EST.
